HOW TO CLEANSE
The act of juice cleansing is one of the most powerful, effective, and oldest ways known to give your system a “reset”. It allows you to let the innate wisdom of your body return to a naturally balanced state. Your body will be able to absorb vital nutrients, vitamins, and minerals, without having to put much effort into digestion. This allows your body to start working on cleaning house; getting rid of old and built up toxins that may be unknowingly causing you trouble.
All of our cleanses are designed to be 1 day, but you can repeat them for up to 5 days if you so choose. With any of our cleanses, you will receive is the highest quality juice extracted using the best known juicing method in the world, which is pretty cool in our opinion!
Preparing for a cleanse is not necessary, but it can certainly help your cleanse be more successful and comfortable. For three to five days before the cleanse, we recommend you slowly remove certain foods from your diet to reduce headaches, cravings, and other detox symptoms. Foods to start avoiding are:
Dairy and egg products
Red meat and poultry until dinner (or completely if possible)
Fish/seafood until dinner (or completely if possible)
Wheat, corn, and soy
Eat lots of veggies, salads, fruits, smoothies, and soups leading up to your cleanse. This will help your body prepare as unprocessed foods are easier on our digestive system, and your body may even begin detoxing before the cleanse begins.
DURING THE CLEANSE:
Hydration is essential. Starting each morning of your cleanse with 16 ounces of fresh celery juice, lemon water, or even pure organic coconut water to fight off dehydration right away. Continue drinking 8-16 ounces of water in between each juice to stay fully hydrated and help flush away toxins. Herbal teas are also a wonderful addition to your cleanse day.
We know life is busy and this isn't always possible, but scheduling your cleanse around the weekend or a time when you can take it easy is best. Even taking 10-15 minutes as needed to lie down during your cleanse is beneficial. Your body is working really hard during this time, so don't think twice about resting as you need to.
Listen to your body! If you're feeling very tired, it's ok to just rest. If you have the energy, going for a nice walk or light activities such as yoga, stretching, and lifting light weights can be beneficial.
BREAKING YOUR CLEANSE
Your body just worked really hard to clean out toxins and start repairing itself, so be gentle as you break your cleanse. You don't want to shock your system, and you want to get as much benefit from the cleanse as possible! This is also a great way to extend the cleanse and get amazing results. It takes more than just one day to clear out years of built up toxins. Here is a great guideline to ease back into normal eating:
Start nice and slow with smoothies, fresh fruits, raw or steamed veggies, and veggie-based soups. Continue with plenty of water and fresh juice too. Continue avoiding the same foods as you did prior to the cleanse for the next several days - no sugar, caffeine, alcohol, wheat, corn, soy, processed foods, or dairy.
Add some brown rice, beans, or quinoa. Continue eating lots of fresh fruits and vegetables as well as staying hydrated.
Continue eating the same as Day 1 and Day 2.
Start to slowly reintroduce foods that you normally enjoy while also eating lots of fresh veggies, fruits, smoothies, and soups.
You should be able to resume eating normally.
